Happy New Year everyone!

2012 is a new beginning!

At Joanna Parker Catering I have looked back on 2011 to see what clients liked about my food and services and to think about what we might do even better.

What has come through is that people choose us as their event caterer because  of the choice and range of freshly cooked food that I as a private caterer can offer, prepared and cooked to order from fresh local ingredients.

We also provide a very personal service to all our clients, as you will find out when you pick up the phone or email us, to talk through what you need and our ideas on how best we can make sure that your occasion goes off really well – and all you need to do is enjoy your day.

We have a great enthusiastic, polite and professional  team supporting our clients and I thank them all for their hard work and fun over the past year.

I have not blogged for a while, December has been crazy busy – now finding time to breath and catch up! I even worked Christmas day – a lovely family had rented a cottage for the festive period and treated themsleves to me! to take the pressure off having to cook Christmas lunch. All went well other than the snow making getting there a bit hairy!

anyway I hope you all had a great Christmas and have a happy New Year

Well, October has certainly ben my busiest month this year!

There are still some available dates in November and December but the New Year is starting to fill up.

I am keeping the weekend of the 15th January free for a ski-ing trip to Italy with the chalet girls I did a season with 25 years ago!   Now Yummy Mums…

Have signed up to a Pheasant and Game cookery course with  The Gables School of Cookery www.thegablesschoolofcookery.co.uk on the 30th January 2011. Would like to do it sooner but the next course is fully booked!

I have a busy couple of weeks, lots of buffet for all sorts of celebrations – this week I have a lunch in London and then a Hen weekend buffet in Bath at the weekend. Been to some lovely rental cottages – today the Old Mill at Oakridge Lynch, just beautiful.
People are starting to think about Christmas parties – dont leave it too late!

I catered a wedding last weekend end – in the pouring rain! Had to BBQ with an umbrella over us – though all went well otherwise. I think summer is officially over though there are now Christmas parties to look forward too!

I catered a canape party for a new client in the North Cotswolds. The weather was lovely so we were out in thier lovely garden. It was a day of ‘its a small world’ – there was a great frind of my mum’s there and the host knew a close friends mum and had bought a hotel from her!
All went very well and have handed my cards out to nearly all the guests – fantastic!

Catered a 80th Birthday party today, lots of sandwiches and sausage rolls. There was some serious knees up going on so luckliy there was lots of food and wine to keep them going!

It was my son’s 2nd birthday yesterday… he absolutely loved his presents – he knew they were for him… and his cake…

When he had gone to bed we enjoyed the rest of the party, finishing off sitting round a fire pit with the flames flickering in the still night sky

Busy weekend again… lots going on at the Event plus and 80th birthday this Sunday afternoon – sandwiches suasages roles cakes etc
